The Arc of Fort Bend County is a privately funded, non-profit organization which receives no state or federal funding.  In order to provide programs and services to support individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities and their families, fund raising events are necessary.  The annual Golf Classic is one of two primary fund raising activities each year.

All in attendance at Weston Lakes Country Club enjoy a day of fun.  Players begin registering by 10:30 AM, followed by a box lunch provided by Five Star Food Services and a Shot Gun start at 11:30 AM. There are contests for all the golfers including the Hole-in-One vehicle, sponsored by Helfman Ford and Classic Chevrolet. When the golfing is over, golfers and guests enjoy a barbecue dinner hosted by Republic Services Inc. and the award winning “Yeah-IDo” cooking team,  followed by a Live Auction that begins at 5:00 PM. Even non-golfers come to bid on the fantastic trips, sporting packages, outings, and the unique items contained in this year’s packages.
