Volunteer Opportunities

The Heart and Soul of The Arc of Fort Bend County
Are you looking for a way to give back to the community you live in? Would you like to make new friends? Consider helping The Arc of Fort Bend County by becoming a volunteer where you are always needed and appreciated. Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of our programs, assist in our fundraising efforts, and help in the office.

What kind of volunteer work can I do where I can work with athletes?
1. Driver
2. One-on-one assistance
3. Chaperone for local events
4. State games room chaperone
5. State games non-room chaperone
6. Group activity manager
7. Coaches’ assistant
8. Medication dispensing
9. Organize Youth Group activities or participate in aleady planned events

What other kind of volunteer work can I do?
1. Hotel locator for State games
2. Group meal arrangements
3. Office assistance

What do I need to do to volunteer?
Complete and submit a volunteer application. There are different applications and training requirements depending on the level of interaction you may have with our clients.  If you want to become a Special Olympics Volunteer, you will need to complete a Special Olympics Class A Volunteer Application, complete an Arc of Fort Bend Class A Volunteer Application, sign a consent to release form, and attend Arc training.
