The 2011 Best in the West benefits The Arc of Fort Bend County: Use this link to watch a recent video concerning this upcoming event.
The Arc of Fort Bend County is a privately funded, non-profit organization. In order to provide programs and services to support individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities and their families, fund raising events are necessary. The annual “Best in the West” is held each November and is one of two fund raising events held each year. The 2010 event raised over $300,000 and could not be possible without tremendous community support.
Join us this year for the “Best in the West” BBQ dinner, dance, and auction benefiting The Arc of Fort Bend County on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at George Ranch Arena. Commissioner James Patterson, Ann Smith and Jo Ann Stevens are again organizing this annual event. NEW this year – Michael Garfield, The High Tech Texan, will serve as master of ceremonies, making the introductions and opening the live auction. Commissioner James Patterson will again use his powers of persuasion as the auctioneer. The Triumphs, a Rosenberg-based band, is back to entertain the crowd that will fill the George Ranch Arena and entice dancers to two-step their way through the evening. The Swinging Door will dish up excellent barbecue.
The Silent Auction corral sponsors will be: The Arc of Fort Bend, Big Boys’ Woodshed, By Design, Classic Mortgage Company, Fort Bend ISD, Fort Bend Law Enforcement, Home Depot (new), Lone Star Pet Lodge, Meyers/Prosperity Bank, OakBend Medical Center, Fort Bend Political, RE/MAX and St. Giles Emergency Center (new).
Prosperity Bank has generously agreed to be the presenting sponsor at $15,000 for the evening. Additional sponsors include Sprint Waste Services at $7500, Classic Chevrolet and Sugar Land Rotary Club at $5000 each and Aliana at $2500.
Let’s make The 34th “Best In The West” another wonderful evening to remember!
